[pchelpers] Re: is it called power management?

    Ra-Na, not sure how important the power management thing is to you. I
have tried it on a couple machines with different Operating Systems. Not
sure if it works any better with XP but it does not sound like it. My
conclusion was to go with the standards Windows screen saver for a blank
screen and let the rest of it stay awake. Starting and stopping hard drives
and other things is harder on them than just leaving them up and running. Of
course I do not let my machine run all night long when I am not using it.
Boot up in the morning takes somewhat longer than a wake up from standby(if
it works) but I let it boot up while I go get coffee..
    Just my two cents worth.. Cy
