[pchelpers] Re: ip addresses

John and Billy,

I have been following this thread and have no objection to any one
hiding their IP Address. It is just my inherent curiosity for butting
in. But, cannot for the life of me see why anyone would want to hide his
IP address, especially at the cost of performance.

Have been banking on line since the day the banks went on line with
personal on line accounts. Apparently no one has been able to get into
any of my accounts. Of course the stupid tricky ones send emails to try
to get me to reveal my password and pin etc. by dummying up a pretty
good replica of the banks sign in page.

If perchance in a moment of weakness I fell for that ruse, no
dynamic addressing in the world would make much difference.

By the way I love this machine with Vista and a $14 Ready Boost
drive. Performance is easily quadruple or better over the XP machine.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
