It sounds like the mail is encoded in something outlook express doesn't
understand, such as outlook or microsoft mail! (Strange, but true! Some
outlook attachments can't be read by outlook express - at least, not without
a lot of trouble)
If you have a recent copy of winzip, try that. Winzip can read, open, save
attachments, etc, for a whole lot of mail encoding systems.
