[pchelpers] Re: ink / printer / storage

Hi Re-Na
You can take the cartridges out of the HP990 printer and store them in
plastic bags in your refrigerator. If your AIO printer is an Epson, you
should not leave it un-used at all and certainly not without cartridges
unless you can flush water through the print heads ( a hazardous and
awesomely messy operation in the hands of amateurs) If it is Canon, HP,
Lexmark or similar - then you can take the cartridges out (and printhead if
Canon) and refrigerate them for storage. Allow to warm up before using again
and rinse the print heads with warm water to clear the jets.

Cheers

Subject: [pchelpers] ink / printer / storage

I had 2 printers hooked up to my desktop pc. The HP990 Cse I used the
most because of the duplex printing. If I needed to make a copy, I
would use the other 'all in one' printer.

Ok, lets say I put that all in one printer up for a while. Should I
take the ink out of it and leave the ink slots empty?
Or would you recommend using up the ink and then storing it?

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
