What's CHAD? It's not even listed in 
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chad_%28disambiguation%29

What do you mean with "top-trip"? Did you mean "on top - trim the 
bottom"? That's a good system too but only if you have the quote 
function turned on that puts a > sign at the beginning of every line 
quoted in the original message. Otherwise, it would be a great help to 
add a note like "no comments were added to original added below for 
reference" before the original message.

Either way saves others a lot of time because many people add comments 
into the original even if there's a line saying "-----Original 
Message-----", and then one has to read all other original messages too 
and try to figure out if everything is unchanged or if some question or 
comment was added.
