Is that one of those small two-prong cords? You might try checking for
one at WalMart or some place like that, as they are used by a number
of utensils.  I think of them as "coffeepot" cords, since that's what
I first saw one on.  Bad cords aren't terribly common, but you're
more likely to see one after a power surge.
