     To use correct terminology, a hacker is a person that writes code.  A
'cracker' is a person that writes code to break into other persons computer

Now beside that, is the friend using a software firewall or a hardware
firewall?  http://web.interhack.com/  This web site is run by a brother that
is a hacker and focus on security in computing and there is a whole site
under this one that talks about firewall and FAQ.
