[pchelpers] Re: half price domain registration?

VeriSign and Network Solutions are now one in the same. Netsol is the
primary authority on domains, which means they control who gets a .com,
.net, etc. registered (to some degree).

At one point, NameZero was offering domains for FREE, but they plastered
your site with ads. Then they did some REALLY crappy. They sent an email
saying that domains are no longer free and that you have to register. So,
they keep your domain and keep it up to day; IOW, they're holding it
hostage! /rant

GNS (GlobalNICServices) seems to accept $15/year/domain for the whole
shebang. If you scroll down their page, they say that your CC will be
charged $14.95. GNS uses Easy-InterNIC for their domain services. THEY are
the company that puts the domains in the TLD servers for $15/domain/year.
So, looking it all over, it seems that they'll do for $15 what
NetSol/VeriSign will do for $35.

Tim H.
