I installed an new hard-drive in August, and 2 days ago I booted my pc and got
no further than the black screen and boot sequence, and a message saying "boot
disk failure, insert system disk etc"
So I did just that and at the A prompt I wanted to run Norton ghost and replace
C image. got message saying that there was no E drive where my ghost was
installed to, at new A prompt typed "C" and was told "bad command"
Decided to reboot and this time run Fdisk to view drives, and was told that "no
fixed drives were found"
Rebooted and this time got Fdisk to work but needed to delete C and D drives
twice before I could repartition my drive and format and re install OS.
All went well but yesterday I booted up and the same thing happened, only this
time I tried to reboot and it did boot into windows and so far it's running
ok...........is my new drive on the way out?

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
