Be careful, just heard there used to be a bug that is maybe still in
your old version in which folders can get 'overwritten' or 'lost' when
renaming several times in a row.. as in
rename folderA to folderB
rename folderC to folderD
rename folderB to folderC
now what was originally folderA and should now be folderC is 'lost'.

Probably just required compacting all files: file < compact folders
(after highlighting any folder in the correct account)

Good to know the issue is resolved, but do a complete compact anyhow.
Also be sure to make regular backups of all personal data on your
computer, including email and bookmarks. Just copy your Thunderbird and
Firefox profile folders. More info here:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder
but all you probably have to look at are the 2 lines explaining the
locations for your operating system.
MozBackup is great for automating this a bit, but it apparently
sometimes doesn't work, and i would not not test it as they recommend
unless you're sure you don't get confused during the process of first
making a new profile and/or backups: http://kb.mozillazine.org/MozBackup

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
