Sorry to sound like i'm nitpicking, but this is uninstalling (insanely
called "removing" by MS here), not deleting (clicking on Delete in
Windows Explorer... ouch).

What? The bookmarks.html file or the program Firefox? You should never
copy or delete programs, only install and uninstall them. You should
only copy files with personal data. And in case this is in a file that
you don't open yourself, such as bookmarks.html, which a program opens
but not you yourself (as you do with a word processor's text file for
example), you should import the file into the program using its Import
command (usually easy to find in all programs in the File or Tools menu)
not copy it.

I'm sure Firefox will work correctly (as long as you don't have a memory
problem) if you install it correctly. Uninstall it using the control
panel's add/remove applet and then delete the Mozilla Firefox program
folder located at C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox. Then simply
reinstall it by doubleclicking on the installer package. If there's
still a problem, you can be sure it's caused by a buggy extension, not
Firefox. Here's a quick way of finding the culprit even if you have many
extensions installed:

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
