[pchelpers] exciting new antimalware initiative

http://www.stopbadware.org/home/faq

Well, it was founded in January already, but at least it's new for me,
as is the new general "super" term "badware", which i just added to
Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malware

Lots of very interesting, independent, and trustworthy players as
explained in this quote from http://www.stopbadware.org/home/faq :
"Q: Who is behind this effort?
A: Harvard Law's Berkman Center for Internet & Society and Oxford
University's Oxford Internet Institute are leading this effort with the
support of several prominent tech companies, including Google, Lenovo,
and Sun Microsystems. Consumer Reports WebWatch is serving as an unpaid
special advisor."

They're even working together with Google to warn users who download
malware.

And they have practical info on how to protect and defend yourself

AOL was promptly declared badware:

"AOL 9.0 Accused of Behaving Like Badware
Update: Anti-malware group says the software deceives users and
interferes with computer use."
