I've been very surprised that there is no plugin for this missing 
feature yet because it should be easy to implement. Thunderbird stores 
mail in plain text files, so you can open each folder's entire contents 
in one text file and fairly easily copy the relevant messages using 
simple search and copy commands in Notepad, for example.
