If the router had died, most likely none of the machines would be
connecting to the internet. Is the router set to NAT (Network Address
Translation)? If it is, then to get the others working with it they
would need to be set to "Obtain an IP address automatically". That way
the router avoids conflicts and addresses the network efficiently. If it
is not set that way, then each station requires a specific IP address in
a similar range (such as 192.168.0.1, 192.168.0.2 etc). These sometimes
develop problems, but with a bit of experimentation it is usually
possible to arrive at one acceptable for your network.
