[pchelpers] Re: digital tv cable

Isn't it just a matter of switching between TV and VCR (perhaps on the remote
control) ?
Perhaps you have to have your TV set on a certain channel in order for the
signal to go into the VCR. If you want to view the same channel you are taping,
keep everything set that way.
Once you are sure the VCR is taping the channel you want and the program you
want, THEN you can change back to viewing the TV only and put the TV on
whatever channel you want to view. .... suggest practicing with this before
the time comes for a show you don't want to miss. :-)

I don't have digital cable, but I can do it on a normal TV setup using
the video set to record on 1 channel and the tv switched to another
(ignoring the video). Using a composite monitor connected to the video I
can even monitor the recording in progress. If all that is possible,
surely you can do as well or better.

Who of us is right?
