[pchelpers] Re: dense problem

Hi Pen.

What printer are you using?
I take it you have to manually flip your pages?

Like John suggested, I would experiment with a few sheets of paper.
You don't have to waste a lot of ink to that.... you can create a Word
document with several pages, and just put a few words on each page.
Then try out the different options.

My new Canon printer does things totally different than the HP one did.
It took me a day or two to get it straight. I printed out a little note
and taped it where I could see it to help me remember the changes. Now
I don't need to look at the note, but it was very helpful at first.

One thing I would say is be careful about this situation:
With one of my early printers I had to manually flip the pages and I was
printing the odd/even scenario like you. I had my stack all printed on
one side, turned the stack over and wanted to print out next the back
sides of the pages.... and I left the room, letting the printer do it's
thing.

Well, all it takes is one page to goof up and you wind up having to do a
lot of reprinting. Say your printer accidentally grabs two sheets
instead of one... so now from then on the wrong side 2 pages are on the
next pages you print. So you may need to watch it carefully.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
