CRCs (cyclic redundancy checks) are part of the operating system's way
of ensuring files are intact and correct.
They are used when checking your hard drive for errors, repairing and
confirming the integrity of your data.
The message you are getting confirms some of the files you put on DVD
contain errors.

To help prevent them you need to do regular disk maintainance on hard
drives (scandisk etc). Open "My Computer". Right click the desired drive
(must be writable), select "Properties", then the "Tools" tab. Click the
"Check Now" button.
However, this does not cover CDs or DVD issues. As removable media have
become able to hold more information, the surface has become more packed
and detailed. Now, even a speck of dust or an insignificant scratch can
make it produce errors or even be unreadable.
To correct this, minor imperfections need to be polished away. There are
various kits around for this. I found one called "Fixity Disc"

There are probably others around like it.
