Here's a good reason to NOT let people use "terms that mean the same".
To a tech, "delete" means either "I deleted the icons" or perhaps "I
deleted the icons and the Program Files folder", whereas "uninstall"
means "I got rid of it in the correct manner".  Meanwhile, some users,
who know enough to be dangerous, er, I mean, know that "uninstall" is
better than "delete", will use "uninstall" to mean "I deleted the
icons" or perhaps...

Cyril, I'm just picking you as an example; I'm sure you know enough to
"delete" things the proper way, using "FORMAT C:".  ;)
