Most applications will not work that way. System-level applications
are very unlikely to.

Disc-burning software normally needs to install something into the
c:\Windows\system32 folder, and make changes to the system registry.

You're probably better off getting free third-party software, such as
CDBurnerXP: http://www.cdburnerxp.se.
