Yesterday Microsoft did an update.
Since then when I click on a WORD document <either doc or rtf> it wants
to open in my trial version that came on this computer of WORD 2007.
I went to 'default programs' and think I did it right.
I changed the default for both of those to office 11 winword.
But it keeps opening the WORD 2007.
This is quite frustrating.
I can open word 2003 and then browse to the file, but that is not what I
want to do every time I open a WORD file as I use WORD daily.
This is the path I picked in the defaults, maybe that is what isn't right:
program files, microsoft office, office 11, winword
<it also shows an office 12 so I am assuming that is where WORD 2007 is>
Notice that that path says nothing about WORD 2003. Somewhere I thought
on my computer it shows the 2 versions. I've seen it before. It says
2003 and also 2007 for the other one. So maybe that is where I need to
go. ??? I don't know. I just need to get this resolved.
I have vista home premium.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
