[pchelpers] Re: cd bursts in cd rom

Hi

I thought that speed of a drive shouldn't affect a CD
as it doesn't spin like a harddrive but is read (or
written to) using a level 1 laser beam. But anyway
it's a pretty unusual situation Jackie has there. I'm
dying to know what caused the CD to 'explode' and how
to prevent such a thing happening again.
