Yes, everything including messages, settings, and address book is 
imported automatically and you should be ready to use Thunderbird within 
a few minutes because its interface has been purposely modeled on OE so 
that most things are done the same way and to be found in the same places.

Just download it from here
http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/
doubleclick on it and it'll be ready before you come back with a cup of 
coffee...
