All you have to do is go to http://www.symantec.com and see for
yourself; it's right on the home page:

*************************

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.swen.a@xxxxxxx

W32.Swen.A@mm is a mass-mailing worm that also attempts to spread
through file-sharing networks, such as KaZaA and IRC, and will attempt
to de-activate antivirus and personal firewall programs running on the
computer.

*************************

If you have Windows XP, turn on Internet Connection Firewall. All it
does is block incoming data on specific ports, which takes very little
horsepower. People who have a home network probably don't need a
firewall either, since in most cases the router will block stuff due
to its' nature. If you're wanting to block stuff that might be leaving
your computer, that's another matter.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
