someone is confusing issues here.

When you buy software it is licensed for one computer (unless you buy a
"site license"). Legally I can install & run it on one computer at a time.
(RIGHT?) If I install any ver. of windows on my home computer, and decide I
don't like it, I can remove it from my home computer then install it on my
laptop. If I decide I do not like it on my laptop and uninstall it, Then I
can take it to my mom's house and install it on her computer.

This is different from buying one c.d. and passing it around to all of my
friends. or making copies and passing them out to my friends.

In this regard, XP is no different than any of the other operating systems.
Functionally the installation c.d. can be used over and over. Legally it
can only be installed & used on one computer at a time.

The XP C.D. can also be copied in case the origional gets damaged.

The XP I have was on another computer. The lady did not realize that it was
NT based. She did not like it. She abandoned XP and went back to ME (talk
about a dog returning to vomit...). I bought the XP from her.

Hope I understand all of this as well as I think I do. All I know for sure
is the XP C.D. will install over and over and it can be copied. Do not
mistake this for recomending bootlegging or stealing of software....
