I read the suggestions on the site, but "singing" is generally a sign
that it is near death, one way or another, so no matter what you do,
you should plan on getting a replacement soon.

Note that aging monitors often lose focus, and my experience is that
this can only be fixed one time; the next time it goes out of focus,
it cannot be adjusted enough to get it back in.  In other words, loss
of focus is also a signal that it's time to buy another one.
