[pchelpers] Re: Worm/ web servers/Norton Antivirus updates

I guess more people should have read the news reports and patched their
IIS servers.

On another note: I had a case last week of a virus infection on a system
where Norton's licence had expired. The program seemed to get updates
from the web, but the definitions were not updated (and so they were
caught offguard by a word macro virus).

My situation seems little different. Although I have an antivirus
program with a perpetual update licence, Norton appear to have stopped
honouring it. This means my system may have been vulnerable to new virii
for a long time without knowing it.
