I can't remember all the fine suggestions that have been offered, so this may be a duplication but........ Have you tried the Windows Setup method through the ADD/Remove Programs in the Control Panel? To try that: Click on the start button, then on settings, then on Control Panel, Double click on the Add/Remove Programs icon, click on the Windows Setup Tab, Highlight "Accesories", Click on Details, scroll down to the bottom of the list, and put a check mark where it says WordPad, then click on ok and let it ask for your CD to be put in the CD ROM, make sure that it goes to the Win98 directory and you get it back. If, however, the check mark is already there at the WordPad thingy, take the check mark out, and also take out something else like Paint, the click on the ok button and let Windows remove them "both", then just go back through the above directions and reinstall them "both" Ya gotta remember "sometimes", computers are basically stupid, you gotta fool 'em sometimes, remember that I said sometimes. cu, Don Bieber, The-Pichur-Man PS I am proud to announce that I have one the Mavis Beacon Typting & Speling Award. ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
