Have been running Windows 7 build 7000 for almost 2 months now.
Here are some interesting problems that I have found.
1.WTL 07 ran without any problems.
Have installed WTL 08 and found one bug. When you hover the mouse over
the scriptures a box should appear with the scripture in it.
Instead all I get is a little tiny box with one letter showing.
2. HP printer and scanner installed and works fine. One problem was that
when I started the scanner it took over an hour before
the scanning window showed up. But since then it comes up fine.
Today had a strange problem with the printer. I printed out 6 copies of
the large print KMs for march.
About 15 min later the printer came on and printed out 6 more copies
with a separator page.
3. I have two Seagate 500 g drives, same make and model. One named
"storage" and the other named "recording"
Storage started to disappear from the system. It would come back online
if I re-booted or ran the "Seagate tools for windows"
When the tool scans the system for available drives "Storage" would come
back online as if I had just plugged it in.
Soon I couldn't keep it online for very long. In fact while it was
online the system would run badly. Slow windows, programs not responding
or even locking up. I removed "Storage" and everything went back to
normal. I sent "Storage back to Seagate for a replacement, had two
months left on the warranty.
Now this morning "recording" has started disappearing. Now I don't know
if it is a problem with the drives or Windows 7.
4. My BD Blu-Ray player doesn't show up in the list of drives. Only when
I place a disc in the drive does it appears.
Also I have some programs like The Literature Assistant and Mag-Manager
that needs Access 2000 support files to run.
So I installed the Access2kRT.exe support files and got the error
message that drive d:\ was out of space and couldn't install.
Drive d:\ is my Blu-ray player. I unplugged the player and then it
installed with no problems.
5. Stamps.com will not run. The program will install and run but it will
not print the stamp on the envelope, only the return address and the
address.
6. Every time I turn on the computer the HP product assistant install
window comes up saying that it can't find the HP cd to install. When I
installed the printer
I told it not to install the HP Product Assistant program. Canceling the
install does not get rid of the window. The install starts all over
again. I have to end the task in the task manager.
All in all I'm very happy with Windows 7. Hoping these bugs will
disappear in later builds and that I will be able to keep it.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
