From what I have heard today is that those with a Vista Key Code can
upgrade for free.
Right now I'm looking into seeing if it will be cheaper to buy Vista now
just for the free upgrade.

I could do like I did with xp.
I found at a garage sale 4 E-machines cases for sell for $5 each. And
each case had the XP key code
still attached.
I took one case and re-built it for a shop computer. My OEM XP Home
accepted the Key code and
I have been running for an year now.
So I still have 3 more cases with Key codes ready for the future.

Looking for dead computers with Vista Key codes.

It will be no problem for me.
On the day I installed Windows 7 I made a clone of my XP hard-drive and
put it away.
If for some reason I can't keep Windows 7 all I need to do is back-up
all my settings, e-mail and such.
Then I take out the Windows 7 Hard-drive and replace it with the XP
hard-drive and restore all my data.
I'll be at the same place as if I never tried Windows 7.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
