[pchelpers] Windows 2000 guru needed

I just bought a new computer with Windows 2000 and need some input on a problem
I keep experiencing. I frequently do online banking but I can't access my bank
account at all with this new system. I try to log in and nothing happens. The
new page attempts to load and then just quits. Finally I just get a "time out"
error. I can log into the bank on my old Windows 95 computer with no problems
at all. I have the latest browser installed (IE 6) on my new machine so that
shouldn't be the problem. Could this have something to do with the built-in
firewall, or my networking/dial-up configurations? This problem is not just
restricted to banking but usually any place where secure information is being
transmitted.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
