How true!!  I had overlooked that one.
Actually, when I exit outlook express it asks me do I want to empty the
deleted items folder (if I have that option selected).  This means that you
really only get one warning that you may be about to permanently delete a
folder!

Unfortunately, it seems to me, your folder is gone for good, Inge.  When was
the last time you did a full backup?  You may be able to recover some of
your email from the backup.
