I was going through my startup items with my Windows XP computer, IE 6.0
and Outlook Express Computer. One of my startup items is "mmr.exe". I took
a google search with "mmr.exe." and paste to you this paragraph as I found
within a site.
""The file responsible for infecting hard drives shared across a network sports
the label "csrss.exe," where the original worm
used the name "mmr.exe." The worm that piggybacks on e-mails uses the name
"sample.exe," rather than the original "readme.exe."
""
Is "mmr.exe" a file that sometimes is infected with a virus, or is it a virus
itself?
Can I just uncheck this item in the "System Configuration Utility", or is it
something needed and if so how would I get it back
in the "Start Up" of the "System Configuration Utility"?

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
