[pchelpers] Re: WTLib installation instructions

Hi Scott,
i had problems downloading but it was not because of my security running. I
went by the instructions on the back but to no avail. Going to MyComputer it
turned out that i had no CD-Rom listed, and that is crazy because my pc is a
HP Media Center with a hp DVD+RW/CD-RW and a DVD-ROM. They had dissappeared.

I have not used these much, just to play and download a few cd and watch
some DVDs, so was clueless on what or how to fix.

Looked up in device manager and they were there, both listed as HP and had
yellow error on them, and Win XP error code 41 said this.....

*A driver was loaded but Windows cannot find the device. This error occurs
when Windows does not detect a non-Plug and Play device.

If the device was removed, uninstall the driver, install the device, and
then click *Scan for hardware changes* to reinstall the driver. If the
hardware was not removed, obtain a new or updated driver for the device.

If the device is a non-Plug and Play device, a newer version of the driver
might be needed. To install non-Plug and Play devices, use the *Add Hardware
* wizard. Click *Performance and Maintenance* on *Control Panel*, click *
System*, and on the *Hardware* tab, click *Add Hardware Wizard*.
On the *General Properties* tab of the device, click *Troubleshoot* to start
the *Troubleshooting Wizard*. "

Troubleshoot did not work.
To make a long story short, it was a Registry error, of upper and lower
filters and once deleted and a reboot, Win found and installed the hardware.
Don't understand why HP and WinXP did not work on this together and correct
it.

My point is, you SHOULD NOT turn off your antivirus unless it just
plain doesn't install properly with.
