[pchelpers] Re: WTLib CD installation problem

Dru,

I know I have run across this problem before.

There was a blurb from Symantec regarding a /_*Similar problem*_/ with
System Works install. The same error response leads me to believe that
there are some left over files from a previous install attempt or maybe
even a failed uninstall attempt.

You may have to delete an old Watchtower folder from the C: Drive if the
cleanup does not work to eliminate possible corrupted files.

This is the blurb:

Error: "Please insert the disk: 1" while installing Norton SystemWorks

*Situation:*
While installing Norton System Works, you see the message "Please insert
the disk: 1" or "Please insert disk label" and the installation does not
proceed.

*Solution:*
This problem is most often caused by Norton SystemWorks files that
remain from previous versions of Norton SystemWorks or one of the
components of Norton SystemWorks. To solve this problem, edit the
Windows registry to remove specific keys and then install Norton
SystemWorks as usual.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
