[pchelpers] Re: WT Library Hangs

    Hi John, thanks much for trying to help. Here is additional information
that I sent to another person who tried to help.  I am beginning to wonder
if no one else uses the Search function. However it did fail yesterday using
just the Insight Book selection. Cy

Additional information follows:
1. WTLIB fails on three different computers. With no other software running.
Usually however there has been a copy of Windows Word Perfect and more
recently Perfect office.
Computers were:
a.      133mhz Cyrix with 64Megs of memory 2.1 Gig HD  Win 95
b.      500 Mhz HP computer with 64 Megs 4.3 Gig HD   Win 98
c.      733 mhx HP Pavillion both with 64 Megs and then with 256  Megs new
memory, 30 Gig HD,  Windows ME
2. WTLIB CD has been replaced by the Society and since it is very
intermittent I cannot say it fails at the same place but it fails the same
way.
3. Problem has occurred with WTLIB 95 WTLIB 97 and WTLIB 99 and no other
program running
4. Re-installation of the WTLIB has no bearing on the problem
5. WTLIB has been known to have trouble with bad temporary files so in most
of the cases I would blow away the temporary files and it normally would
have no effect.
6. Once it starts to fail on a certain "Search argument" it continues to
fail on that search argument. Considering that the computer has to be
rebooted (actually a power on Reboot) this would  definitely clear memory of
any extraneous junk.
7. Failure has almost always occurred when using the Search Function and
many times only after previous selections have been viewed.
8. The error seems to appear mostly when search involves a larger section of
material. For example searching the Insight Book by selecting IT-2 Page 273
a menu of all the deadings on page 273 are shown. Selecting LOVE which
happens to be the last heading on that page, bombs every time. I presume it
is because that selection has to bring up severl pages of data.  Yet
selecting the same article by using IT-2 and Page 274  works every time with
the same data.
