[pchelpers] Re: Virtual CD 3

Hi Jo...

Rather than playing the CD from an image on a "virtual" drive, why don't you
simply rip the tracks from the CD and convert to MP3 or WMA? One then wouldn't
need to store a CD image on one's hard drive... which is probably in the
neighborhood of 600MB - 700MB in size. With MP3, ripping/converting at 128KB,
the combined size of all the tracks would be roughly 1/10th the size of your
current CD image.

Just a thought.

| Thanks for replying. My CD appears to be playing. When I 'insert' the CD
| into the 'virtual drive' - Windows Media Player pops on and the indicator
| lever begins to move across the screen (indicating the CD is playing) BUT
| there is no sound. ONLY when I click the individual songs in the 'detail
| view' do they actually play audibly.
