[pchelpers] Re: Upgrade or New?

There is one advantage you will have with W98 - you CAN re-install it
without losing anything, every time it corrupts itself.  (I've not tried
with XP - don't know if you can do this or not - haven't needed to yet :-))

And the comments about ram still apply - get as much as you can afford.  384
megs will be ok for most things now, but newer applications will keep on
needing more and more!  The latest version of our pcb and schematic design
programs require XP and recommend 512 megs ram.
