I just install Ubuntu9 and I'm having something wrong with the internet
connection.
I can use google and search and the results page comes up with all the
websites.
But I cannot go to any websites. When I click on a link all I get is a
line at the bottom of
the page saying "waiting on (website name)" and nothing ever happens.
I can use the system update and it connects to the internet and finds
the updates but it
can't download them.
I'm using a cable modem. Does linux need a special configuration to use
a cable modem?
I Can plug in my WTRT internet and the AT&T DSL and it works just fine.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
