[pchelpers] Re: USB Extender

Belkin does not seem to offer much support other than promoting new products.
   
  What I did was attach the USB Cable from the 4 port hub to the 7 port hub.and 
the 4 port electric plug to an extension outlet.  My printer that is attached 
to the 7 port hub still works.  Nothing shorted. The red light is on the 4 port 
hub and 7 port hub.is lit.  But one sure uses a lot of electric outlets for 
Belkin warranty of stacking for 127 USB products.

This could be a "try it and see" situation. Either the USB will draw 
power from the PC or from its own supply. One way to get an indication 
of the answer is to plug in one of the hubs and see if it works under 
the conditions you describe. If not, you know the answer. Perhaps it 
would make best sense to test the two separately to prove they are in 
good order. After that, it is a question of whether they are designed to 
do what you need to do. If there is another USB connection on the PC, it 
may be wise to use one for each device rather than cascading them.
