David,

I would suggest making a copy of you driver disk if possible and add to
system files which would allow the computer to boot from the floppy. Then
you may be able to load the driver and find your HD. Have you thought about
writing tot he manufacturer of you HD perhaps they have a solution as well.

Does anyone know if I can boot from a floppy and have a usb driver?  I have
a USB external HD which I want to ghost my existing HD to and be able in an
emergency reinstate it from the USB drive.
