With your boot floppy (you do have one don't you), restart the machine
from drive A: and type
FDISK /MBR
That will fix a little problem scandisk won't. Then give it another try
and write back. That bad command you got occurs when the floppy does not
contain the file SYS.COM (or was it SYS.EXE). Just copy it there from
the \windows\command directory.
