Seems like no one had any ideas yet. I would guess that it's some kind 
of Windows profile corruption or some spyware or malware program or 
maybe just an annoying program that "does things for you" without 
asking. Have you installed any new toolbars recently or did they install 
themselves without asking? Have you been using Internet Exploder?

Have you checked your computer with an updated antivirus program and MS 
Antispyware + Spybot + Ad-Aware? Run a Squared also after updating it:
