Yes I know there is no guarantee with the outbox extension, and yes, I
am aware the maintainer is updating the extension. He has a vested
interest in updating it as he too has the extension and doesn't want
to go with another extension, as I don't. As long as he is willing to
do that, then I am willing to continue using it. Yes, I'm aware of
MagicSLR, but at the time I installed it, the one I recommended was
the only I could find anywhere. I've been using it for years and I'm
not about to change now. If the extension I mentioned ever goes out,
Thunderbird will automatically disable it and at that time, I will try
MagicSLR if it's still around. As I said, I do and have trusted my
extension for years, and it's always been reliable. As far as only
downloading extensions from the Thunderbird site, I had several
official themes and extensions downloaded over the years and about 90%
of them that I got from that site *no longer work* and are currently
disabled! The authors don't bother updating them on the official site
any more or less than any other site. As far as safety, of course
with any site you have to be careful of what you are downloading.
