[pchelpers] Thunderbird Sent Folder Corrupt

It appears my Thunderbird "sent" folder is corrupt. Nothing I write is 
being copied there and I can't delete anything out of it. I have emptied 
my trash and compacted all folders but this did not solve the problem. 
Does anyone know what I should do?
