Take a look at the SecurityFocus article, which is quite detailed and
covers both sides of the story, including why the defense failed. It
says that she was justifiably fired for not paying attention to the
class; the evidence showed that she'd been surfing during the class.
It also says that the popups were definitely popups (and not
click-throughs) and that the kids were probably the ones responsible
for them.

It also says that under Connecticut law, she technically violated the
law simply by being there, and that it's not clear whether the jury
convicted her for that or for actually causing the situation.
