[pchelpers] TV on PC

hi, guys,
I have a laptop running Vista Home Premium. I have cable & am seeing the HD
conversion as a possible problem for my 2nd TV. It is from the 1990's & has
been losing channels over the years as the cable has gone HD. My primary TV is
the one with a box - so it should be OK.
Back to the 'puter. I see I can use the 'puter as a TV/DVR if I invest in a USB
TV tuner like Pinnacle PCTV HD Mini Stick ($100US.) Could my 'puter easily
replace the aged TV? or is the "$60 conversion box" a better option?
