I ordered the MAX SPEED feature from People PC. It installed however it
would not work.
Talked to their technical person,
a) deleted the feature,
b) used MSCONFIG to shut down all but essential programs at boot up,
c) then re-installed the feature
Although it installed and set up I now could not get the browser to access
any web sites.
After checking a few things the tech said that my TCP/IP files were
corrupted and needed to be replaced. He indicated that although he knew how
to do this but he could not due to the restrictions placed on him by his
company regulations. He suggested that I go to HP - the manufacturer and
get them to help me do it. Naturally the System is three years old and out
of warranty.
Since then I have restored my system so that I can get on the Internet
with the normal access but I would like to have the MaxSpeed feature.
Can anyone tell me how I can replace my TCP/IP files in Windows ME? Are
they OEM Manufacturer specific or Operating System specific?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.. Cy
