[pchelpers] Re: Sygate Firewall Blocks Everything

John,
I guess I do not understand regarding a bad connection. Bad connection
of what? The cable connected to the computer has been connected for over two
months. If every time it quits, when I remove Sygate without touching any
cables and it then works, I have to expect the answer to be programming
rather than connection.
You are right about the action that SHOULD take place when turning off
the firewall. That is the part that stumps me.

Turning off the firewall should allow traffic, if the connection is
working. Perhaps this system is really suffering from an intermittently
bad connection.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
