Did you find the program listening on the open ports and try turning off 
Act as Server? That should solve the problem.

Sounds like a scan to see what's open from inside, not outside. In any 
case, if the Sygate online scan said some ports are open, it is very 
much more likely that they are open and that another scan that can't 
find an open port is not as good than the other way around.

It's like with AV programs; only rarely is the one that finds more 
malware wrong.
