[pchelpers] Re: Start menu

Hi Scot,

WOW, WOW, WOW!!!!!!!!

You did it!

Thanks a million!! I got rid of that pesky message.

The number was set to 30. I never knew what that meant. I didn't do it.
The top of the window did indeed hit the top of the screen. I set it to
20, the window came down and the message disappeared.

How can I ever thank you?

Sometimes I have the feeling that I should not be on PCHelpers, because
I do not understand 99.9% of what is being discussed. However, being on
it is worth it when there are nice people like you helping me figure
something out.

Keep up the good work.

Grateful in Niagara,
Inge

Ok, after experimenting for a moment.... if the top of the start menu
hits against the top of the screen, then you have it set to show too
many frequently-used programs. Go into the start menu properties and
set the number to a lower number.

On my system, I need to keep the number 23 or lower, in order to avoid
the message. This is with small icons, 1024x768 resolution, and 2
items at the top left of the menu (the internet and email icons). To
change, right-click on the Start button, select Properties, select
Customize, and change the number.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
